Academic Extension Program
This program is designed for high-achieving, motivated students who thrive on challenge and want to deepen their learning. Our Academic Extension program brings together like-minded students and provides opportunitites for extension and enrichment across Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences (MESH) subjects.
Students can be in all four academic extension classes or the subject(s) they demonstrate proficiency.
Aligned with our school values CARE: Calm, Achieve, Respect and Engage, the program nurtures high order problem-solving, critical, creative and analytical thinking.
STEM Academy
Our STEM Academy delivers Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in our specialist STEM Innovation Hub. This program inspires students with an accelerated curriculum through finding solutions to real problems, locally and globally, equipping them with skills for the future.
As part of this program, students have the opportunity to participate in different competitions, for example, First Lego League, H2GP, and the eV Challenge.
Soccer Academy
Our Soccer Academy supports students with a genuine passion for soccer and the desire to develop their skills in a high-quality environment. Dianella Secondary College is one of the few WA schools offering four dedicated soccer sessions each week.
The academy is coordinated by an FFA C Licence accredited coach, ensuring structured, high-quality coaching aligns with recognised national standards and accreditations. This inclusive and supportive environment that caters for boys and girls across a range of ability levels.
Our CARE values shine through this program with a focus on player development and transferrable life skills through soccer.
Hospitality Specialist Program
The Hospitality Specialist Program is designed for students with a passion for food, hospitality, customer service, and event management.
This engaging Year 7–12 pathway provides students with hands-on industry experience, practical skill development, and opportunities to gain nationally recognised qualifications in Hospitality and Cookery led by industry experienced hospitality chef and trainers.
With a focus on customer needs and delivering products to the highest standards, students learn strong collaborative, creative and problem-solving skills.
