Dianella Secondary College has officially opened our newly upgraded Sensory Garden, creating a welcoming and dedicated play space for our Year 7 students.
On Wednesday 5 August, we were pleased to welcome the Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson BA MLA, along with guests from our Precinct Board, for the official opening of the space. The occasion provided an opportunity to recognise the many people who have contributed their time, effort and resources to transforming the area over the past six months.
The Sensory Garden has undergone a significant makeover, with a range of new features designed to create an engaging and enjoyable environment for students. Upgrades include artificial lawn, shade sails, garden beds featuring native Australian plants, a new table tennis table, and freshly painted four-square and hopscotch areas.
The transformation has been a wonderful example of our school community working together to create spaces that support student wellbeing, connection and enjoyment.
We look forward to seeing our Year 7 students enjoying this new space for years to come.
