Our Year 8 Number 1 Basketball team has claimed the 3×3 State School Cup, going undefeated throughout the competition in a fantastic display of skill, teamwork and determination.
Presented by the Swan City Snipers Basketball Club, the competition brought together school teams from across the state. Our Year 8 team produced an outstanding performance across the day, remaining unbeaten on their way to the championship.
The players were rewarded for their achievement with championship rings and a commemorative plaque.
The success, however, extended well beyond the court. Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated a genuine willingness to engage with others, include their fellow competitors and build positive connections with students from other schools.
This was particularly evident during the Grand Final. Despite facing an undefeated opponent, students from other schools were cheering our team on from the sidelines — a wonderful reflection of the friendships and connections our students had formed throughout the day.
Congratulations to our Year 8 squad on an outstanding result. Their performance showed that success is about more than what happens on the scoreboard — it is also about character, respect and the way we connect with others.
