Dianella Secondary College is committed to supporting high-achieving students through academic extension and enrichment. Aligned with our school value of CARE, our Academic Extension Program encourages students to develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and higher-order thinking skills.
The program brings together like-minded, motivated students and provides opportunities to deepen learning across MESH Learning Areas.
Through this program students receive:
- Extension and enrichment across Mathematics, English, Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences (MESH)
- Delivered by experienced & passionate teachers
- Access to state-of-the-art resources
- Pathways for ATAR courses & preparation for university
- Participation in extra-curricular activities, including clubs and excursions
To Apply
To apply for the Academic Extension Program, parents must:
- Complete and return Expression of Interest – Enrolment (Part A) Form
- Complete and return Academic Extension Program Application Form
- Register to enrol in a trial/testing day
Applications close Term 2 Week 6
Trial Info & Dates
After submission of the above forms and registration, you will then receive confirmation and further details via email in Term 2 Week 7. Students must attend one of the below trial days where they will participate in problem-solving and creative thinking activities.
Trials will be held at Dianella Secondary College on:
- Tuesday 9 June 2026 from 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Thursday 11 June 2026 from 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Offers
Offers are based on students meeting the program criteria and on available positions each year.
All applicants will be communicated results following the completion of the trial/testing process.
