Welcome to Dianella Secondary College’s Aboriginal Education Program, a dedicated initiative aimed at fostering cultural inclusivity, educational equity, and community engagement. Our program is designed to support the aspirations of Aboriginal students while enriching the entire College community with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture.
Key Aspects of Our Program
Cultural Inclusivity:
We ensure that the cultural needs and aspirations of Aboriginal students are recognized and supported. This creates a welcoming environment where all students feel a sense of belonging.
Educational Equity:
Through mentoring, case management, and academic support, we help bridge gaps caused by socio-economic disparities, ensuring that Aboriginal students have equitable access to educational opportunities.
Cultural Education for All:
Our program educates non-Aboriginal students about Aboriginal history, traditions, and contributions, promoting cultural awareness and reducing prejudice.
Transition Support:
We assist students in their journey from secondary education to higher education or employment, providing guidance and resources for a successful transition.
