The Technologies and Enterprise Learning Area at Dianella Secondary College provides students with a dynamic and hands-on learning experience. Our curriculum is designed to inspire creativity, develop practical skills, and prepare students for a variety of future career paths.
Lower College
In the lower college, students are introduced to a wide range of subjects, including cooking, textiles, woodwork, computer programming, and caring for babies. These subjects offer students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills, and gain a foundation in practical and creative disciplines.
Senior College
As students move into senior school, they can continue to specialize in areas that interest them. Those passionate about cooking can advance their skills through cookery classes, studying café culture, food science, or earning a Certificate II in Cookery at our state-of-the-art onsite trade training centre, the Lily Café. Students who have studied textiles can pursue courses in fashion, craft, and textiles technology. Additionally, there are opportunities to undertake General courses in Children, Family, and the Community, further expanding their knowledge and skills in these important areas
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Our VET Learning Area provides students with the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and practical skills that are highly valued in the workforce. We have a wide variety of courses available onsite and offsite, provided by both our NNEI partners and training providers. These courses are designed to provide students with hands-on experience and the skills needed to pursue careers in their chosen fields, whether they continue into further education or enter the workforce directly after graduation.
